When money is tight, every bit of support matters. And for millions of farmers across India, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has become a lifeline—offering ₹2,000 every four months to help with basic needs. But what if your payment doesn’t show up this time?

If you’re still waiting for the 20th installment under PM Kisan, and your name in the Aadhaar card doesn’t exactly match the name in your PM Kisan profile, your next payment might be put on hold.

What’s the Update on the 20th Installment?

Back in February 2025, the government released the 19th installment of ₹2,000 directly to eligible farmers’ bank accounts. As per the regular schedule, PM Kisan pays out every four months.

That means by July 2025, the next round—the 20th installment—is officially due.

According to sources, the funds could be released any day now in the first week of July 2025.

But here’s the catch: If there’s a mismatch between your name on Aadhaar and the name in your PM Kisan profile, the payment won’t go through.

Why Does the Aadhaar Name Matter?

PM Kisan payments are now Aadhaar-authenticated. Even a small spelling difference between your Aadhaar and PM Kisan records can lead to a payment failure.

Here’s how to check and correct your name before it delays your 20th installment.

How to Fix the Name Mismatch (Online & Offline Steps)

If You’re Comfortable Online:

  1. Visit the official PM Kisan Portal.
  2. Scroll to the “Farmers Corner” section.
  3. Click on “Updation of Self Registered Farmer.”
  4. A form will open—enter your name exactly as it appears on your Aadhaar card.
  5. Submit and wait for confirmation.

If You Prefer Offline Help:

  • Visit your nearest CSC (Common Service Centre) or Agriculture Department Office.
  • Carry these documents with you:
    • Aadhaar card
    • Land ownership proof
    • Bank passbook
  • Ask for help in updating your name in PM Kisan records.

What About e-KYC? It’s Mandatory Too

It’s not just your name that needs to match. The PM-Kisan e-KYC process is now compulsory. If you haven’t completed it yet, you won’t receive the ₹2000—even if your name is correct.

How to Complete e-KYC:

  • Online: Go to pmkisan.gov.in and complete your e-KYC using Aadhaar OTP.
  • Offline: Visit your nearest CSC and ask for e-KYC help. Don’t forget to take your Aadhaar and mobile phone.
